In response to the loss of our local Air America radio station in fall 2006 , our wonderful newsletter was begun by and initially supported by the member of the Dallas Air America Meetup and Yahoo groups. Since that that time the newsletter has been fully funded by our weekly sponsors who believe in progressive media and believe this quality weekly newsletter provides a much needed place for liberal/progressive/democratic/activist announcements,  much needed information and is is vital to the North Texas community .

In September 2008 the umbrella group and name of the newsletter became North Texas Progressive.

Sponsors have been businesses, candidates, organizations, democratic clubs and individuals who use the sponsorship area of the newsletter  to promote, advertise and bring attention to worthy products, events and activities  ( archives here )

Newsletter Sponsorship costs $20.00 for one weeks edition. You are allowed to have your information /graphic in the sponsorship box at bottom of newsletter or equal space in the middle of the newsletter. We also offer a $100.00 sustaining sponsorship, ask for more details on that .

Sustaining Sponsors are groups or individuals who prepay $100.00 sponsorship and for that amount they are given 3 weekly runs ( can be twice monthly or once a month for 3 month ) and a sustaining sponsor receives a sustaining sponsor "feature box " in the right hand column ( see example above ) of the newsletter and it will run every week for that quarter (3 months) .
